| Posted: 09 Dec 2012 12:30 AM PST  Ventas noviembre 2012: Dinamarca Filed under: Industria Resulta curioso que mientras los principales mercados europeos están presentando datos de ventas negativos, en Dinamarca la tendencia durante noviembre haya sido justo la contraria, aumentando las matriculaciones en un 8,5% en comparación con el mismo mes del año anterior y un total de 16.334 unidades vendidas. La razón principal de este aumento se debe a los cambios en la fiscalidad de los coches de empresa, favoreciendo su adquisición gracias a unas tasas impositivas menores y la posibilidad de desgravar una mayor parte del coste. Pese a ello, los particulares siguen teniendo un gran peso y como muestra están los buenos resultados obtenidos por los vehículos pequeños y compactos. For Chevrolet Camaro owners, Forgiato has designed the DiFalco grille to include hidden headlights somewhat reminiscent of what was available on first-gen Camaros. From what we can see in the images, the mesh grille and motorized headlight covers go over the stock parts, and when closed, each "eyelid" also has 18 LEDs that can light up for a unique effect. Priced at $3,399, the DiFalco grille doesn't come cheap, but judging by the other upgrades made to this wide-body Camaro show car, we're sure this is just a drop in the bucket. El último país en recibirilo, tras Argelia, Túnez, Sudáfrica, Guatemala, Perú y algunos mercados de Oriente Medio, es Chile. | Posted: 08 Dec 2012 02:25 PM PST  Report: Petit Le Mans-winning team commits to full 2013 ALMS season Filed under: Motorsports, Racing The LMP1 class in the American Le Mans Series has been a 'two's company' affair for the past few years, with only the Dyson Racing Team in its Mazda-powered Lola chassis and the Muscle Milk Pickett Racing Team in its Honda chassis and engine running in 2011 and 2012. The class will officially become a crowd in 2013, though, when it's joined by the Toyota-engined Lola chassis of Rebellion Racing. The Anglo-Swiss team only ran one race in the ALMS last year, the year's finale at Petit Le Mans, that it won. The move appears to be about visibility. Rebellion invested most of its 2012 contesting the FIA's World Endurance Championship series, where it won the Endurance Trophy for Private LMP1 Teams. Yet six wins in eight races and a class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans didn't result in the kind of attention or visibility that the team is after - it's said that the manufacturer teams still fill the spotlights. Rebellion team manager Bart Hayden said of the ALMS, "The visibility generated by overall wins is more in line with what our partners require and desire." Rebellion wants to remain in the WEC and is looking for a way to run a parallel program alongside its ALMS entry next year. The team will bring two cars to next year's opening round at the 12 Hours of Sebring to get things started in the US. De un tiempo a esta parte Ford ha ido realizando algunas series especiales sobre sus furgones qué, manteniendo intactas sus virtudes como vehículos de trabajo, añaden un puntito picante. Tras el éxito de la anterior generación, el nuevo Transit Custom también contará, a partir de enero, con una versión Sport. Se reconoce fácilmente por sus llantas de aleación de 18 pulgadas, las dos franjas decorativas en el capó a contraste con los seis colores disponibles y el paragolpes más deportivo. También se ha tratado de conseguir visual más atractivo pintando los espejos y las manetas de las puertas del mismo tono que el resto de la carrocería. | Posted: 08 Dec 2012 12:06 PM PST  Official: All-electric Coda Sedan gets crashed, earns just two stars in frontal test [w/videos] Filed under: Sedan, Safety, Videos, Electric, MISC The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration tested the 2012 Coda electric sedan, and here is the good news about the results: the Coda scored five stars for the side crash and rollover tests, and four stars overall. What kept it from a five-star overall score is the bad news: a two-star result for its frontal impact test. NHTSA issued a recall for the 2012 Coda over its side and window airbags, so there are two Codas listed in the test results - a pre-recall sedan that got no rating for the side impact test and no overall rating, and the post-recall sedan that was rated in every category. To be even more precise on that frontal impact rating, the male crash dummy driver was left with a two-star score, the female crash dummy passenger got four stars. Judging from the videos, the frontal impact doesn't look like a two-star catastrophe, but NHTSA knows better than us and all of the deceleration and injury details are in these reports if you want to know everything. El Grupo Chrysler-Fiat, consciente de esto, ha decidido lanzar una importante ofensiva comercial en la India. Con ella pretenden lograr en el 2015 alcanzar el 5% del mercado, es decir, supondría vender unas 150.000 anuales entre todas sus marcas de un total estimado que podría rondar los 3 millones de unidades (este año se cerrará con 2,7 millones). ¿Cómo conseguirlo? Pues sencillo. Como no podía ser de otra manera, un modelo tan especial como el R8 tiene que publicitarse con una campaña llamativa y exótica. The company's board of directors has voted to create a foundation to grant educational awards. Ronald Thompson, Chrysler's lead director, said the charity is a fitting tribute to Marchionne and all he has accomplished since coming to the American manufacturer. "This foundation will ensure that the values and impact of his leadership will be felt by many others," Thompson said. Marchionne, meanwhile, acknowledged that the charity will allow Chrysler to support causes that dovetail with the values of the company, including "the educational needs and ambitions of our employees' children." Chrysler will begin making its first contributions to the charity in 2013 and will award its first scholarships in 2014. La casa de carreras de Toyota lanzaba esta semana en el Essen Motor Show el TMG GT86 CS-V3, un Toyota GT86 preparado para carreras de resistencia con el que se disputará una copa monomarca encuadrada dentro del VLN alemán (el campeonato de resistencia cuyas citas se celebran siempre en el Nordschleife de Nürburgring). El coche costará 45.815€, IVA alemán incluido, y con él se podrá participar en esta copa monomarca que contará con 50.000€ en premios entre sus participantes. El coche, además, es muy similar al GT86 que el año pasado ganó la categoría V3 de las 24 Horas de Nürburgring, y es válido para participar en las citadas 24 Horas, por lo que los clientes que lo adquieran contarán con una máquina bastante apropiada para afrontar carreras de resistencia. La preparación es bastante básica, buscando ante todo fiabilidad. In addition to the recall, InsideLine is also reporting that BMW has issued stop-sale for all vehicles still in dealer inventory. On the 29,800 diesel X5 models affected by the recall, the idler pulley bolt could back out and/or break, which would cause a loss of power steering. To repair the problem, BMW will begin notifying owners next month, and dealers will replace the bolts. For owners of the 2009 X5 xDrive35d, this comes a little more than a year after 2,120 models were recalled for a faulty fuel pre-heater. La fiesta final, con el lanzamiento del Serie 1 M Coupe hizo que, finalmente, bajáramos todas nuestras defensas y nos dejáramos enamorar por este compacto alemán, olvidándonos de nuestros reparos estéticos. Pero luego vino la segunda generación del Serie 1, y quien más y quien menos tuvo sus dudas. Ya sabemos que para gustos están los colores, pero nos llama poderosamente la atención ver cómo muchos de vosotros compartís nuestra impresión de que tanto el morro como el culo de este compacto no terminan de ser "como deberían ser". Prueba de ello es la enorme expectación generada por las fotos espía de un restyling que parece muy "anticipado" para los estándares de la casa. El coche, a nivel técnico y de espacio y acabado interior, es un gran paso adelante respecto a su antecesor, de eso no hay duda. Y venderse se va a vender igual de bien, pues "es un BMW", pero hoy nosotros os preguntamos a vosotros ¿es feo el Serie 1 de BMW? Alfonsín] Lexus quiere conseguir con el nuevo IS contar con la berlina más dinámica de su segmento A principios de 2011, Lexus nos llevó al sur de california para probar el GS que saldría este mismo año. Este fue el primer sedán lanzado dentro de la marca con la idea de conseguir más deportividad dentro de sus berlians premium. El GS iba bien, pero le faltaba carácter. El que ahora se vende mejoraba en todo, con más dinamismo e implicación para el conductor. Así que esperábamos que este mismo tratamiento llegara al IS. Y es que la berlina del segmento D de la marca nipona pedía a gritos un poco más de "nervio" para sacarnos sonrisas mientras conducíamos. Hasta ahora, nadie ha comparado la dinámica del IS con la del Serie 3 en términos equiparables. Y eso era un problema para Lexus, que aspiraba a mojarle la oreja en diversión de conducción al coche alemán.
