Es el Renault Captur, según los papeles del registro, donde ha aparecido este utilitario "crossoverizado" del segmento B. El primo del Juke, emparentado con el Clio directamente, la verdad es que resulta bastante más conservador que el prototipo conceptual homónimo, o que el utilitario del que deriva. Y es que allí donde el Captur prototipo era atrevido y arriesgado, el Captur se queda en el otro extremo, siendo bastante más predecible y conformista. ¿Es eso malo? No tiene por qué, ya que con este diseño más "light" probablemente se consiga una clientela más "generalista". A fin de cuentas, el Captur se postula como la variante "sensata" del mucho más arriesgado y polarizante Juke. Morgan believes that as long as the company can find a way to exploit niche products that the big automakers can't or won't do, and if his firm can be a test bed for new technologies, then there's a way to retain both the Morgan spirit and independence. One of those upcoming technologies could be a new chassis material of magnesium and aluminum. The combination would allow Morgan to form its panels in the traditional way, but make them 20 percent lighter. The Chinese site Auto Sina spotted a revised version of the country's S80L out in public and in plain view. Not too long ago, Doug Speck, the global head of marketing and sales for Volvo, said designers were working on a mild facelift for the S60 and S80, and while it is possible the Swedish manufacturer will roll out a different front fascia for the US market, the move seems unlikely. The S80L seen here boats a tweaked grille and a Passat-inspired lower valance. New wheels and side-view mirrors also appear to be part of the update, as does a modified rear bumper and exhaust outlets. Volvo is set to debut the facelifed S80 next year, and while the manufacturer hasn't delivered an exact time frame, good money is on the vehicle showing up at the Detroit Auto Show in January or the Geneva Motor Show in March. To take the lead in electric-drive vehicle adoption, go wireless. Raleigh, NC has become the first US municipality to join the Apollo Program, which tests wireless electric vehicle chargers made by Evatran. The Virginia-based company's Plugless Power chargers were, as of September, being tested by entities such as Google and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, in addition to Hertz, Duke Energy and the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research. In late October, Evatran said it reached an aftermarket-charger sales and distribution agreement with SPX Service Solutions that will allow the company's wireless charging stations to be installed in the homes of owners of Nissan Leafs and Chevrolet Volts starting next April. Gracias a esta dualidad, el coste por kilometro se reduce notablemente. Partiendo de la versión 1.0i 12v de 75 CV, SEAT ha realizado algunos cambios en la mecánica y gestión electrónica para poder emplear el nuevo combustible. De igual modo se han instalado dos depósitos de metano con 72 litros qué, junto a los 10 litros de sin plomo pensados para un uso ocasional, son capaces de otorgarle una autonomía superior a los 600 km y siempre con un nivel de emisiones muy inferior. Estos tanques no roban espacio al maletero, que se mantiene con 251 litros entre los mejores del segmento. The the sixth-generation Maserati Quattroporte is here, and a quick recap according to a report in Car and Driver has the smaller Ghibli sedan on Chrysler's LX/LY platform next, then the next-generation GranTurismo coupe and cabrio on a Maserati platform, then the Kubang SUV concept (pictured) that, for production, will become the larger Jeep-Cherokee-based Levante SUV. All of which gets us to 2015. That same year, according to the report, the Levante will get a brother: a smaller SUV or crossover, perhaps sized like the Kubang concept, to challenge the Audi Q5 and the Porsche Macan. It is predicted to use the Compact US Wide platform, built for front-wheel and all-wheel-drive vehicles, that supports the Dodge Dart and 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulia. Diseñado como un prototipo cerrado de Le Mans, cuenta como corazón con el motor atmosférico 2.0 de Renault, con 210 caballos empujando un peso de 590 kilos. Cuenta con una caja de cambios secuencial Hewland, que permite colocar el motor en posición longitudinal central, y lleva un diferencial autoblocante para gestionar el par que llega a los neumáticos posteriores. Con una tarifa de 98.000€ no nos parece especialmente barato el juguetito, más sabiendo que no se puede sacar a carretera abierta, aunque habría que valorar su rendimiento en circuito antes de seguir hablando. El todoterreno más grande de la marca surcoreana venía pidiendo a gritos una actualización y aunque aparentemente los cambios no parecen muy profundos, sí se pone al día en casi todos los apartados importantes (motor, equipo, etc). La primera entrega del Rexton llegó a nuestro país en 2001 y estuvo vigente hasta el 2006, momento en el que tras haber vendido 7.915 unidades le daba el relevo al Rexton II, más estilizado y del que hasta ahora se han entregado 8.112 unidades. Sin embargo ha sido en esta última etapa cuando ha acusado un excesivo desgaste tanto en lo visual como por refinamiento, algo que lógicamente se ha visto plasmado en las matriculaciones y el interés del público en el modelo (basta decir que en todo 2012 se han vendido 59 unidades). Todo lo mencionado ha sido suficiente para que SsangYong se pusiera manos a la obra con una actualización más profunda.
