| Posted: 27 Aug 2012 12:14 AM PDT  Official: Stick And Move: Porsche reveals all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4 lineup Filed under: Convertible, Coupe, Performance, Paris Motor Show, Porsche, Luxury Now that the rear-wheel drive Porsche 911 has clapped its thunder, it's time for the 991-generation all-wheel drive Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S to roll forth in coupe and cabriolet forms. The meat of the transformation is the Porsche Traction Management system, and its as much as 143 pounds lighter than the previous 997 C4S, despite being about 1.7 inches wider in back with rear tires that are a third of an inch broader. Detail changes include the cross-light connecting the taillamps moving up a bit and going what appears to be all LED illumination. The new model has also brought less obvious benefits like better gas mileage than its predecessor, even with more power and speed. The 400-horsepower C4S Coupe, the quickest of the bunch, can dash from zero to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds, max out a whisper beyond 185 mph and return almost 26 mpg combined if fitted with the optional seven-speed PDK dual clutch gearbox (the seven-speed manual comes standard). Ushering in new tech that will become available for the entire 911 range, the C4S receives adaptive cruise control, a sliding glass sunroof and, on manual-equipped cars with the Sport Chrono pack, automatic double-declutching during downshifts in Sport Plus mode. We'll see them on the Porsche stand at next month's Paris Motor Show and they'll go on sale in Germany later this year, finally arriving in U.S. showrooms next February. Not including $950 for destination, it will take take $91,030 to get in the all-wheel-drive 911 C4 Coupe. The C4 Cabriolet breaks the six-figure barrier at $102,930, trumped by the C4S Coupe at $105,630 and the C4S Cabriolet another high-jump away at $117,530. In this case, Peoria Euphoria is a friendly little documentary that features flat-track rider Sammy Halbert discussing his race career and gunning it in the Peoria TT. It's amateur, thoroughly off-the-cuff, and wonderful for it. At the 3:11 mark, you'll get the best four-word description of the being in the zone that we've heard in a whle. Changes for the no-frills Tradesman trim are also afoot, with the 1500 Tradesman HD scheduled to join the list of vehicles headed to The Great Crusher in the Sky according to a report on PickupTrucks.com.Introduced only a year ago, the 1500 Tradesman HD body hid internals from the 2500 HD, and was powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI with 383 horsepower (instead of the 310-hp, 4.7-liter V8 used by the other Trademan models), had an eight-foot box, and bested the towing capacity of the non-HD by nearly 4,000 pounds. The reasons for its disappearance aren't clear, but with the entire Ram line going through a wide range of revisions and upgrades, a more clear-cut, back-to-basics heavy duty work truck could see the light. El último en ser publicado corresponde al nuevo G63 AMG, un viejo veterano que sigue en plena forma gracias a las múltiples actualizaciones que ha recibido. En concreto con el restyling presentado hace unas semanas, el Clase G ha ganado en calidad de acabados, equipamiento y, por supuesto, sin perder su condición de verdadero todoterreno. A día de hoy es de los mejores en conducción off-road, algo que Mercedes ha plasmado en el vídeo pero sin olvidarse del lujo y la tecnología aplicada. That top-end pack is about half the size of the standard Leaf's pack, and would boost the Leaf's current official range of 73 miles to over 110. The extra pack can charge the car's original pack while driving and draws a charge through the standard charger. The most powerful system costs almost $7,500, including installation, but Green Car Reports describes that process as "lengthy and complicated." Whether this aftermarket option will become somewhat redundant next year remains in question because of reports that the 2013 model-year Leaf could have a single-charge range of up to 90 miles. Hasta ahora sólo habían mostrado tres imágenes, todas del exterior. Hoy lo que te traemos es la primera foto que nos permite ver con claridad cómo será el interior del nuevo sedán mediano. Por lo que apreciamos en la imagen, compartirá el volante con otros productos de la marca, pero todo lo demás será específico. Destaca la pantalla multifunción situada en la consola central que imaginamos llevarán las versiones más completas. En relación al Forte actual, la evolución es clara y presume de un aspecto más conseguido. Muchos pensábamos que compartiría salpicadero con el Cee'd, pero parece que finalmente no tendrán nada que ver. En unos días ampliaremos la información con todos los detalles e imágenes en alta resolución. Taking their spots between the standard line and the true M vehicles, examples like the 2012 BMW X6 M50d and M550d xDrive (neither of which will come here) get tweaks developed by the M division under the hood, in the cabin and around the exterior, mated to traditional items like torque converter automatic transmissions instead of dual-clutch gearboxes. Their arrival here is planned for the 2014 Detroit Auto Show starting with the M235i coupe (the coupe and convertible versions of what we know now as the 135is, pictured), and when that happens a report in Car and Driver says M Performance models will replace the "is" trim as the next-generation BMWs are being introduced. That would mean cars like the 335is become the M335i sedan and M435i coupe and convertible. Initial M flavors right now are expected to include the Z4, 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series. The original announcement from BMW claimed that the M Performance vehicles would receive "exclusive engines," but the C/D report suggests that might not be the case. And as of this week, though neither company made a big deal about it, the AutoAlliance facility stopped building the Mazda6, ending Mazda production in the United States. Although Ford takes total practical control of AutoAlliance International, the two companies will maintain their 50-50 stake in the plant for now while Ford invests $550 million in the facility to gear up for 2013 Fusion production. The plant has built some well-known nameplates, including the Probe, Cougar and Mustang. The success of the joint venture led to the opening of an AutoAlliance Thailand plant in Rayong, modeled on its Flat Rock forebear. You see, General Motors, attempting to "put a stake in the ground and commit to the growing women's segment" with the Malibu, of all things, has tapped Mizrahi to assist. How will he do this? By creating a clothing line called Malibu Style, "inspired by the new Malibu," that will be sold exclusively on the daily deal site Living Social. Mizrahi says the line is to "celebrate a new approach to everyday style" that appeals to smart women who have their own personal flair. Speaking of his devotion to color, which he calls "the most important luxury in a woman's life," Mizrahi said, "One of the things I was inspired by was a blue light that emanates from the dashboard. It's just sexy." That is an actual quote. The campaign will be aided and abetted by a Facebook page and a series of 50 videos featuring Mizrahi driving a Malibu in cosmopolitan cities that are home to smart, fabulous women.
